Chitrangda Singh says her 25-year Bollywood journey began before her time

Chitrangda Singh reflected on Bollywood's last twenty-five years, a period matching her own career start with Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. She mentioned films feeling ahead of their time, like her movie Inkaar, before the Me Too movement. She listed major hits from that era, including Three Idiots, Dangal, and Slumdog Millionaire, also noting the popular Spy Universe and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

She thinks storytelling has changed, not necessarily evolved, with technology sometimes hurting the narrative. However, she pointed to a recent project like Dhurandar as a good example of AI blending well with a plot. Singh emphasized that writing remains the most critical part, praising foundational works such as Gangs of Wasseypur and Lagaan. Despite current cynicism, she believes looking back will reveal plenty of cinematic achievements to feel proud about.
