Chrono Odyssey devs promise major changes after rough beta, 2025 launch now uncertain

Chrono Studio released the second part of its Closed Beta Test notes for the upcoming MMORPG Chrono Odyssey after the first Steam beta received mixed feedback. The South Korean developer addresses performance, balance, and polish concerns through comprehensive system overhauls. Combat responsiveness receives significant improvements through enhanced client-server packet transmission and optimized network performance. Hit reactions will occur more frequently with extended crowd control effects lasting 2-4 seconds.

The skill system undergoes major restructuring with four combat styles per weapon and a new Matrix skill tree node system. Monster artificial intelligence receives upgrades to handle ranged attacks more effectively while smoothing difficulty spikes. Environmental enhancements feature region-specific visuals, dynamic grass systems, and improved wind mechanics.

Exploration content density increases with themed caves, narrative encounters, and gathering opportunities at points of interest. Expedition Dungeons introduce randomized elements for unique experiences during each playthrough. Despite the 2025 release target, extensive planned changes suggest potential delays for the ambitious project.
