Eight robbers stole US$8,000 from a church in Harare on Sunday morning after attacking people inside. A security guard became a victim when he tried to stop them from entering the building. One church member prayed alone when these men arrived around 12:30 am at Hudson Avenue in Belvedere. The thieves searched through the office rooms until they found the cash. They escaped using the church member's Toyota car with license plate ACT 8786.
Police also reported another crime at a Bulawayo bar where three men stole US$4,300 the same day. This robbery happened at 10 am near Robert Mugabe Way during morning business hours. Staff members counted daily earnings when these strangers surprised them. The workers became hostages as criminals took all their money. Officers hurried to the scene after receiving calls, but arrived as the robbers disappeared from sight.
