The law enforcement just froze a house tied to that actor from Tsotsi, Presley Chweneyagae. The Special Investigating Unit got a court order to lock down a Pretoria property connected to his widow and his estate. They say it was bought with nearly nine hundred grand from a lottery grant meant for youth arts programs.
According to the investigation, a fifteen-million-rand grant got approved for a group called the Southern African Youth Movement. The money apparently got funneled through a company the actor owned, named Domestic Baboon, and used to buy this private pad instead. The order also names a guy called Alfred Sigudla. Nobody can sell or touch the property now while the SIU builds its case to take it back. They have sixty court days to file the paperwork.
This is all part of that bigger mess with the National Lotteries Commission. The unit was told to clean it up by the president himself. If they find anything that looks like a crime, they'll hand it over for criminal charges.
