Citibank VP Murdered in London Flat

Police think the person who killed a top Citibank worker has left the UK. The killer attacked Marianne Kilonzi, age 43, at her home in London.

Officers found Kilonzi dead last Friday. She lived in a nice flat at Royal Arsenal Riverside in Woolwich. Tests showed she died from a hard hit to her head.

London police say the main suspect knew Kilonzi. Daily Mail reports say this person has run away from Britain. People living near her heard loud noises from her home very early that day.

"Police asked if I heard anything between 3 and 4 in the morning on Monday," said Michael Buckingham, who lives next door. He is 82 years old. Other neighbors had called the police when they worried about Kilonzi.

A cleaning worker said police looked all through her home. They even checked the trash bins for clues.

Kilonzi worked at Citibank for 18 years, serving as Vice President of Trade. Her school records show she learned about computers at Kenyatta University from 2001 to 2004.

"We feel very sad about this awful crime," said Police Chief Suzanne Soren. "We think of her family and work friends at this hard time." Police have told Kilonzi's family about her death.
