Plain-clothes cops just smoked two dudes who tried jacking someone outside a bank on Moi Avenue in Nairobi after the victim pulled cash from his account. Five guys rolled up on the customer and grabbed the money before trying to bounce, but officers already patrolling the area lit up two of them while the other three got away on foot.
Central Police Commander Stephene Nyakombo says they ramped up patrols ahead of the holiday season to deal with gangs running these types of hits. Cops had to use teargas at the scene because crowds kept swarming before they could move the bodies to the morgue for autopsy.
