Cloud-native payment pioneer taps fintech veteran for board

Cloud native payments processor CLOWD9 just added a seasoned entrepreneur, Scott Walker, to its board. Walker previously led Billmatrix Corporation, growing it before a major sale to Fiserv. His hiring is a clear play for deeper market leadership as the company eyes a global payments sector worth over one hundred thirty-five billion dollars in the next few years.

The fintech firm claims it is the only issuer processor that connects directly to the cloud systems of big networks like Visa and Mastercard. Its fully cloud-based design is meant to break the limitations of old-school payment infrastructure. This lets businesses roll out new payment products faster and cheaper than traditional methods allow. Walker pointed out the platform solves a major industry problem by offering real cloud processing on a worldwide scale, calling it a foundational shift, not just a small upgrade.

CLOWD9's CEO, Suresh Vaghjiani, specifically cited Walker's background in scaling a company to a three hundred fifty million dollar exit. That experience is seen as vital for CLOWD9's own expansion plans into new international markets. The move underscores their goal to make advanced financial infrastructure more accessible while grabbing more of the digital economy's growing value.
