Comedian Rips into Banda and Muluzi Backing Out

Comedian Felistus Nya-uyu Ngwira feels let down after two politicians backed out of her talk show. Joyce Banda and Atupele Muluzi agreed to join the Hard Talk event but changed their minds at the last minute. The show happens June 20 at Bingu International Convention Centre. Ngwira calls herself Queen of Vilekeke kingdom and works as a social media star. She wants young people to discuss serious topics about the country.

The comedian worries people will stop trusting her events when speakers quit. Organizations have started asking questions about her ability to deliver promised guests. She wrote on Facebook that the situation feels very discouraging. The show aims to put youth voices at the center of development conversations. Several other guests remain committed to attending the discussion.

Musician Patience Namadingo will still appear on the panel with other leaders. Richard Chimwendo Banda from MCP and Dalitso Kabambe from UTM plan to attend. Davis Njovu from the Law Society also confirmed his spot. Denis Mahat from National Resolution for Change replaced one of the missing politicians and thanked voters for supporting his participation.
