Commodore Agambire inducted as NAVTRAC’s 10th Flag Officer Commanding

The Naval Training Command at Nutekpor installed Commodore James Adongo Agambire as its tenth Flag Officer Commanding during ceremonies attended by Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, Chinese Defense Attache Colonel Dou Yan, South Tongu lawmaker Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, and traditional authorities from the Agave Traditional Area. Apostle Brigadier General Benjamin Kumi-Woode administered induction rites under a theme emphasizing humble leadership and collaborative excellence.

Agambire outlined plans to strengthen community partnerships while addressing infrastructure deficiencies, including damaged roadways and insufficient drainage, causing flooding that disrupts training operations. The facility has processed five recruit cohorts since opening in October 2020 and accommodated over 400 army personnel between late 2023 and early 2024. Francis Ahlidza from the Roads and Highways Ministry monitoring directorate pledged government assistance for access improvements and enhanced coordination with defense officials.
