Two government officials started a nasty fight on social media about rebels and war. Julien Paluku from Congo and Vincent Karega from Rwanda went after each other hard. The argument began when another Rwandan minister said Congo helps dangerous fighters called FDLR. These rebels came from people who committed genocide back in 1994. The minister claimed Congo's army works with these bad guys.
Paluku got really angry and fired back at Rwanda on social media. He said Rwanda has been lying for thirty years about these rebels. The Congo minister believes Rwanda uses the rebel story to invade his country and steal minerals. Paluku pointed out that Rwanda occupied eastern Congo from 1998 to 2003 and again since 2022. He asked why Rwanda never actually defeated the rebels during these invasions.
Karega decided to make things personal and attacked Paluku's family. The former ambassador said Paluku's uncle Denis killed people in the 1960s. Karega called this family hatred that gets passed down through generations. He claimed Paluku naturally supports the rebel fighters because of his background.
Paluku responded with a long angry message that tore apart Karega's claims. He reminded everyone that thousands of rebels already went back to Rwanda since 2001. The Congo minister said Rwanda actually brings old fighters back to create fake threats. Paluku ended his attack by saying Congo gave Karega everything and he should stay quiet.
