The Postal and Electronic Communications Regulatory Agency in the Republic of Congo has strengthened its regulatory capacity through a strategic mission to France focused on telecommunications satellites. From Sept. 22 to Sept. 24, the agency's Electronic Communications Networks and Services Directorate conducted specialized training with an international expert from COGICOM on Low Earth Orbit satellites and broadband internet expansion. The training covered satellite constellation operations, transmission security, spectrum management, and regulatory framework adaptation to technological advances in the sector.
The delegation visited the Rambouillet teleport in Yvelines, a facility for satellite communications management, and held discussions with Eutelsat representatives on regulatory approaches for LEO and High Altitude Platform System satellite services. The mission addressed improving public access to digital networks, ensuring transmission security, and updating regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies. The agency continues to promote modern regulation, foster innovation, support satellite deployment, and contribute to digital development in Congo.
