COP Afriyie urges recruits to uphold professionalism and integrity

Police Chief Daniel Kwame Afriyie delivered a powerful speech to fresh graduates at the training academy. He told 238 new officers that their badges represent public trust rather than fear tactics. The ceremony took place at Volta Regional Police Training School during Friday celebrations. Afriyie stressed that professionalism and integrity must guide every action these recruits take. He warned that modern crime demands smart and flexible police work from dedicated officers.

The top cop announced plans for a special security unit supporting round-the-clock businesses. This new 24-Hour Economy Security Secretariat will protect workers and companies operating during night shifts. Government policy requires constant protection for enterprises running all day and night operations. Police forces will adapt their strategies to meet these changing security needs. Officers must stay ready for evolving threats that criminals present to communities.

Emmanuel Amedume earned top honors as the ceremony's star performer among all graduates. Crowds cheered loudly when officials announced his outstanding achievement during training exercises. The event featured 31 cadet officers and 207 general recruits showing off their skills. Senior officials, government representatives, traditional leaders and families watched the impressive parade. Assistant Commissioner William Yankey Acolatse praised recruits for completing their tough preparation program.

The commanding officer congratulated graduates on their determination throughout demanding courses. He wished them success as they begin protecting citizens across the country. Afriyie reminded new officers that earning public respect requires selfless dedication to duty. Patriots must serve with discipline and commitment to national unity. Citizens will appreciate officers who work hard for community safety and peace.
