Governor Adds 500 Recruits to Bolster Ogun's Amotekun Security

Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, recently approved hiring 500 additional people for the Amotekun Corps security team. This comes just sixty days after 690 new members completed their training program. Brigadier General Alade Adedigba, who runs the Corps after retiring from military service, talked to DAILY POST this weekend. He mentioned this decision proves how seriously the state government takes public safety for all residents.

Anyone can submit applications at no cost through the website ogunstateamotekun.com.ng starting March 10 and ending April 4 next month. The screening process for candidates will happen between April 22 and May 1, 2025. Officials want all hopeful applicants to prepare properly and stick to every rule they provide. This boost in personnel will make local communities much safer.

The Commander explained that bringing on these extra security workers represents a major improvement in their ongoing protection efforts. Having more trained officers means they can defend Ogun State citizens much more effectively than before. Adedigba really wants every qualified person to become part of this important security initiative. He firmly believes community members who join will help build a safer place for everyone to live.
