Cubana Chief Priest sues alleged baby mama for defamation in Kenya

Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest has filed a lawsuit against Kenyan woman Hellen Ati for defamation. The legal action takes place in Kenya where Ati lives. Their dispute began six months ago when Ati made public claims about Chief Priest. She accused him of avoiding responsibility for their child. The woman says Chief Priest is the father of her two-year-old son.

Ati claims she had a brief relationship with Chief Priest during April 2022. She says this encounter resulted in her pregnancy. After giving birth, Ati tried contacting Chief Priest multiple times. She alleges he blocked her from reaching him through all communication methods. The Nigerian celebrity has denied these accusations completely.

Chief Priest maintains he never met Ati before these claims surfaced. Ati responded to his denials by requesting a paternity test. The socialite has not responded to her test request. A Nigerian lawyer known as DPA Family Clinic shared documents about the lawsuit on Facebook Tuesday. The papers show Chief Priest filed the defamation case against Ati.

Ati posted a video response on Instagram after learning about the lawsuit. She stated that Kenya operates differently from Nigeria regarding legal matters. The woman believes Chief Priest cannot influence court outcomes with money in her country. She vowed to continue demanding a paternity test despite the legal threat. Ati says she will keep speaking publicly until Chief Priest agrees to DNA testing.
