Another curfew just got slapped down in Narok County. Officials imposed a strict dusk-to-dawn order for Trans Mara East and Trans Mara South, starting at six in the evening. This comes after violent fighting between the Masai and Kipsigis communities left at least seven people dead. The government labeled these areas as security disturbed and dangerous following a security review by top police deputies Eliud Lagat and Gilbert Masengeli. They mentioned specific locations under the curfew, like Nkararu, Lolgorian town, and Angata Barakoi. Over one hundred twenty houses were burned down, displacing thousands, with over eighteen hundred people forced out in just three days, according to aid groups.
