DA calls George exit unfortunate as he fires back at bosses

Dion George just rage-quit the Democratic Alliance while blasting leadership for massive corruption scandals. He ditched the group amid claims that leader John Steenhuisen wasted cash on Uber Eats and fancy hotels. George allegedly snatched Steenhuisen's credit card after spotting weird charges that nobody could explain without faking numbers. He basically called the recent investigation clearing Steenhuisen a total joke.

Helen Zille called the exit unfortunate since George bailed before facing the Federal Legal Commission. The big bosses wanted him to stick around to test accusations against himself first. They claim he inflated staff salaries and leaked info for political fights. Zille confirmed the disciplinary process keeps going anyway, regardless of his departure.

George insists the top brass is rotting and accuses the legal commission of hiding the financial mess. He argues that the books got cooked to make the numbers work properly. This whole drama allegedly served as the final straw after the internal report cleared the leader of misusing funds.
