Dangote to Pay Courtesy Visit to Namibian President Nandi-Ndaitwah

Africa's richest person will meet with Namibia's president on Thursday. Aliko Dangote runs major businesses across the continent through his company Dangote Group. The Nigerian billionaire works in cement production and oil refining. His companies operate throughout Africa. Government officials announced the meeting on Wednesday.

Dangote's visit happens after President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah made changes to how Namibia handles energy business. She moved control of oil and gas work to her office earlier this year. The timing shows both countries want stronger business ties. Energy partnerships could benefit both nations. The president wants to attract more investment to Namibia.

Forbes estimates Dangote's wealth at about 28 billion dollars as of March. His success makes him one of the most powerful business leaders on the continent. The meeting could lead to new projects between his companies and Namibia. Both sides hope to create jobs and boost economic growth. African leaders often work together to build stronger trade relationships.
