Dar City stays perfect on the Road to BAL 2026

The Dar City basketball team maintained its perfect record in the FIBA Africa Club Championships, securing an 87-78 victory over Mozambique's Ferroviario da Beira. This Group B win in Nairobi, Kenya, guarantees their advancement to the tournament semifinals alongside the Mozambican squad.

Coach Mamadou Gueye's squad established an early command, beginning the game with a 13-0 scoring streak. Veteran guard Solo Diabaté delivered a standout performance with 14 points and 14 rebounds, nearly achieving a triple-double. Teammates Youssou Ndoye and Nisre Zouzoua contributed 22 and 21 points, respectively, helping to build a substantial lead that withstood a late challenge from their opponents.

Despite a strong fourth-quarter effort from Ferroviario da Beira, Dar City's initial dominance proved insurmountable. The Tanzanian club now looks ahead to its next match following consecutive wins against teams from Zambia and Malawi.
