Man Caught Stealing Money from Phone Company.
A man named Tinashe did something very wrong at a phone company called Netone. He worked as someone who sells phones and phone cards to people. Instead of doing his job properly, he made up fake names and signed up 36 different phone lines without asking real people.
Tinashe worked with another bad person who owned special boxes that could make phone calls. They bought many phone cards from different Netone shops around the city of Harare. Tinashe gave all these phone cards to his friend, who put them in the special boxes.
These two men used these boxes to make lots of international phone calls without paying Netone. The company lost more than one million dollars because of what they did. Mr. Hove, who works at Netone and looks for people doing bad things, found out what happened when he checked the company's papers.
Tinashe had to go to court to see a judge named Mrs. Gofa. The police are still looking for his friend who had the special boxes. The phone company told the police about what happened on February 5, but they haven't found any of the stolen money.
