Death shares Chuck Schuldiner's 90s Madonna cover

A previously unheard recording of late Death guitarist and vocalist Chuck Schuldiner performing a cover of a Madonna song has surfaced more than two decades after his 2001 death from a brain tumor. The official Death social media account shared the track, explaining that Schuldiner recorded his interpretation of the 1998 single Frozen during early treatment for his illness, working from his bedroom with a guitar and drum machine.

The metal rendition significantly reimagines the Ray Of Light album track, extending its length to approximately six minutes and featuring heavy guitar work. According to the post, only family members and close friends had access to the recording until its public release. Death has continued performing since Schuldiner's passing, with various tribute acts also honoring his legacy.
