Delta Force Free to Play FPS Arrives on Xbox Series X-S and PS5 August 19

Team Jade plans to release Delta Force on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles August 19, 2025. The free-to-play first-person shooter will receive what developers call their biggest update on July 9, 2025. PC and mobile players can access the Season Break update first. The expansion adds fresh maps, a new character, and swimming features. Victory Unite will also see major improvements.

Two new battlegrounds join the game during the July update. Tide Prison serves as an Operations map set on a high-tech island facility. Players must sneak inside pretending to be new prisoners and find weapons after entering. Cyclone becomes the new Warfare map featuring a tropical island that hides an ICBM launch site. Dynamic weather systems will change combat conditions during matches.

The update introduces Tempest as a playable operator available through the free battle pass. Her exoskeletal equipment boosts movement speed and agility. She excels at close-range fights where quick positioning matters most. Infantry and vehicle battles will take place across the Cyclone map. Weather changes will create more challenging gameplay moments.

Console players will have access to all existing content when the game launches in August. Team Jade will include the Black Hawk Down single-player campaign as downloadable content at no charge. Gamers can add Delta Force to their wishlists starting June 28, 2025. Platform notifications will remind users when the game becomes available. The shooter aims to compete with other popular battle royale titles.
