Deputy Minister Calls for Ghana-China Security and Cyber Collaboration

Ghana wants China to help build better security systems across the country. Ebenezer Terlabi spoke about this partnership at a business meeting Thursday. He serves as deputy minister for the interior and addressed Chinese business leaders. The minister asked for help with computer security and crime-fighting technology. He believes stronger security will bring more money and jobs to Ghana.

The government has started a new policy that keeps businesses open all day and night. This change creates chances for Chinese companies to invest in Ghana. They can build surveillance cameras and security equipment here. Chinese firms could also help Ghana fight computer crimes and solve digital cases. These projects would help both countries make money.

Ghana and China already work together on police matters. Chinese teachers have trained Ghanaian police officers for many years. China has also given police cars and equipment to Ghana. The two countries have been friends for more than 70 years. This long friendship makes business deals easier.

Terlabi wants to create new projects with Chinese partners. He suggested building a police training school that both countries would run. Chinese companies could make security technology right here in Ghana. The countries could also start a research center for new security tools. Private companies from both nations would help with roads and shipping.

The deputy minister invited Chinese businesses to put money into Ghana. He said the strong friendship between the countries would help everyone succeed. Better security systems would make Ghana safer for all investors.
