Dhaka Medical College suspends classes amid earthquake fears

Dhaka Medical College has halted classes and examinations through the end of the month after recent seismic activity prompted concerns about campus safety. Principal Prof Dr Md Kamrul Alam issued the directive following an emergency session of the Dhaka University Academic Council, which determined that professional MBBS testing should be delayed.

Authorities explained that the temporary closure would allow students to visit relatives and recover from earthquake-related anxiety. Operations will restart once the suspension period concludes.
