Dhanush shuts trolls, says idli money came from flower fields

Tamil actor Dhanush defended childhood poverty claims during his upcoming film Idli Kadai promotional events. Social media critics questioned how a director's son experienced financial hardship while growing up. The performer clarified his father Kasturi Raja achieved directorial success in 1991, eight years after Dhanush's 1983 birth. Four children required support even after the family's improved circumstances around 1994-1995.

The siblings avoided burdening their budget-conscious parents by earning money independently. They collected flowers from village fields starting at four each morning for two and half hours. Each child earned approximately two rupees from this agricultural work. The group then purchased idlis from a local shop using their hard-earned wages, creating lasting memories that inspired the current film project.
