Dhumal shreds Pakistan hype as India rules T20

IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal praised the Indian cricket team after their Asia Cup championship victory over Pakistan. The administrator told reporters Wednesday that maintaining top status proves more challenging than reaching it initially. He credited captain Suryakumar Yadav and the squad for dominating every tournament match convincingly.

Dhumal stated the Board of Control for Cricket in India supports the government's position against a bilateral series with Pakistan. He emphasized that national interests take priority over cricket matters for Indian administrators. The official noted excessive media attention surrounds matches between the neighboring countries despite Pakistan lacking prominent players comparable to past stars like Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.

The board leader argued contests against England, Australia and New Zealand offer greater competition than Pakistan fixtures. He maintained that India possesses unmatched talent capable of defeating elite teams worldwide. Dhumal dismissed suggestions that secondary Indian squads require special attention, given the current depth of the Indian roster across formats.
