Diddy dancer says 4 years right for sex trafficker

Sean Combs received a 50-month prison sentence on Friday after a judge ruled on his sex-trafficking case. Exotic dancer Sharay Hayes testified at the trial, and he later told reporters he initially believed Combs should be released for time served at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center. Hayes explained he viewed the situation as domestic violence rather than sex trafficking because of the relationship between Combs and his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

The jury convicted Combs on two prostitution transportation counts but acquitted him on racketeering and sex-trafficking charges. Hayes testified that Ventura gave him $800 and requested that he create a scene with baby oil, and he believes his testimony influenced jurors regarding consent. Former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day warned young artists to protect themselves from powerful figures after the sentencing.
