The filmmaker explained that perpetrators select this demographic, believing financial obligations and employment commitments discourage retaliation, prompting his exploration of how educated victims might respond if given the opportunity for recourse.
The production team recovered their funds after 17 years, this past June. Black Madras Films released the feature starring Kavin with Andrea Jeremiah serving as both producer and antagonist, reprising villainous roles following her performance in Vada Chennai. National Award recipient G V Prakash composed the score while R D Rajashekar handled cinematography for the project presented through Vetri Maran's Grassroots Film Company.
