Does FL Studio have AutoTune?

FL Studio now gives every user free access to Antares AutoTune Go through FL Cloud Free, directly inside the desktop DAW. So if you came here wondering whether FL Studio comes with AutoTune, the answer is yes. The important wrinkle is that AutoTune Go is delivered through FL Cloud rather than being a traditional effect that arrives preinstalled with the base program.

The current FL Studio AutoTune is called AutoTune Go. Image-Line added it in September 2026 as an Antares-built vocal pitch correction plugin, which means FL Studio now has an actual AutoTune-branded option instead of only its own pitch tools. FL Studio also has pitch correction through Pitcher and NewTone, but those solve different jobs and are licensed differently.

AutoTune Go is the free option inside FL Studio

If you want a free AutoTune plugin in FL Studio, AutoTune Go is the simplest starting point. You install it from Tools > Manage Cloud Plugins, then load it in FL Studio like an effect. It provides key and scale selection, manual or automatic vocal range detection, a live pitch display, and four Retune Speed settings that move from gentle correction toward the harder-tuned sound.

Calling it built-in AutoTune is reasonable from a workflow point of view, although it is more accurate to say it is integrated through FL Cloud. Someone asking whether FL Studio has a stock AutoTune plugin may expect it to be sitting in the plugin list immediately after installation. AutoTune Go may need to be installed first, but FL Cloud Free makes it available without buying a higher FL Studio edition or a paid Cloud plan.

AutoTune Go is deliberately smaller than the full Antares products. The difference becomes obvious once you need deeper control such as continuous retune settings, Humanize, Flex Tune, or more advanced processing choices, which is where AutoTune Go and AutoTune 2026 separate. FL Studio's free AutoTune is good enough for quick correction and hard-tuned effects without turning the session into a tuning project.

Pitcher and NewTone handle different correction jobs

Pitcher is FL Studio's native real-time pitch correction and harmonization effect. It works with monophonic material, can follow a selected scale, and can also respond to MIDI, so Pitcher and AutoTune Go overlap without being interchangeable. Pitcher gives you more performance-oriented control, while AutoTune Go keeps the normal vocal-tuning workflow deliberately compact.

NewTone works after audio has been recorded. It analyzes the performance into editable notes and lets you correct pitch, variation, timing, and transitions in much finer detail. The practical difference between AutoTune Go and NewTone is real-time correction versus detailed offline editing, so choosing between them depends more on the stage of the vocal than on which one sounds more professional.

Pitcher and NewTone are currently included with the Signature Bundle and All Plugins Edition. Producer Edition does not include those two native tools, so the answer to whether FL Studio Producer Edition has AutoTune is still yes because AutoTune Go comes through FL Cloud Free. FL Studio Signature users get AutoTune Go as well, plus Pitcher and NewTone.

Trial and mobile versions have their own details

The FL Studio trial can use the full set of FL Studio features and plugins, and Image-Line also says FL Cloud Free is available even when you are using the trial. In practical terms, the FL Studio trial has AutoTune options without requiring an immediate purchase, although normal trial restrictions still apply to reopening saved projects.

FL Studio Mobile has pitch correction too, but it is not the same desktop AutoTune Go plugin. Mobile includes Pitcher and Pitcher 2 modules for real-time tuning and creative repitching. Keeping the names separate matters because a tutorial showing AutoTune Go on desktop will not match the controls you see in FL Studio Mobile.

Paid Auto-Tune plugins can still run in FL Studio

FL Studio can load third-party effect plugins, so regular Antares AutoTune products can work with FL Studio alongside the free Go version. If an AutoTune plugin installs but does not appear correctly, the problem is usually plugin discovery rather than proof that AutoTune does not work with FL Studio. The FL Studio Plugin Manager scan process is the place to check when a Cloud plugin shows an error after installation.

Real-time tuning generally belongs near the front of a vocal chain so pitch detection receives a clean signal instead of reverb, chorus, or other processing that can confuse it. A stock-plugin vocal chain in FL Studio can therefore use tuning before the later EQ, compression, ambience, and delay stages. AutoTune Go, Pitcher, NewTone, and paid Antares plugins all correct pitch, but the useful choice comes down to whether you need fast automatic tuning, live control, detailed note editing, or the deeper feature set of a paid AutoTune version.
