Domestic cricket returns with Logan Cup action

Zimbabwe's domestic cricket season begins on Monday with Logan Cup matches at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo and Kwekwe Sports Club. Tuskers will face Southern Rocks while Rhinos take on Eagles in the opening four-day fixtures. Pro50 Championship games follow on Thursday at the same venues.

Mega Market Mountaineers enter as defending champions after sweeping both the Logan Cup and Pro50 Championship last season. The campaign features alternating four-day and one-day matches through mid-December, followed by a holiday break. Action resumes in January with teams rotating between Bulawayo, Kwekwe, Mutare, Harare and Masvingo.

Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed coaching appointments for all five franchises. Dion Ebrahim takes charge of Tuskers with Chris Mpofu as assistant while Stuart Matsikenyeri continues leading Mountaineers. Teams receiving bye weeks will play the Under-19 national squad preparing for the 2026 World Cup that Zimbabwe will co-host.
