DP says vote for MPs who actually show up to work

DP spokesperson Kennedy Mutenyo insists the upcoming election is happening regardless of the drama. He told host Canary Mugume that everyone panicking is just late to the party since the schedule has been out forever. Mutenyo claimed the voting process will move forward while noting he finally plans to cast a ballot himself for the first time. He also admitted his party shares some development goals with President Museveni despite them being rivals.

The spokesperson roasted voters who pick candidates based on village ties or pure hype instead of policy. He wants people to stop electing silent types like one representative from Mpigi who allegedly spoke twice in a whole term, yet still wants a second chance. Mutenyo argued that parliament needs members who actually debate laws rather than walking out when they get mad.
