Dr Amos Msekandiana to lead Kamuzu Central Hospital

The Malawi government has named Dr. Amos Msekandiana as Hospital Director at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe, where he will take charge of tertiary healthcare services for the region. Recognized as the country's first endocrinologist and pediatric specialist, Dr. Msekandiana brings extensive experience from previous positions, including Country Director of Baylor College of Medicine and Clinical Senior Lecturer at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Msekandiana earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Malawi and completed advanced training in pediatric medicine and tropical medicine. His credentials include fellowship status with the Pediatric Endocrinology Training Center for Africa, demonstrating specialized expertise in endocrine disorders affecting children.

The Ministry of Health anticipates that Dr. Msekandiana's clinical knowledge and management capabilities will enhance patient care and hospital operations. He replaces Dr. Enoch, who has transferred to Mzuzu Central Hospital.
