Dr Charlie Than helms Nay Pyi Taw talks, Belarus covets Myanmar fruit

Officials gathered at the Ministry of Industry Office 30 yesterday afternoon to explore market opportunities for Myanmar's agricultural exports in Belarus. Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than joined departmental heads, regional supervisors, small business owners, and Chamber of Commerce representatives through both physical and virtual attendance. The session was divided into presentations on awareness of Belarusian market access strategies and collaborative discussions among participants.

Attendees identified three to five tropical products suitable for Belarusian markets during structured group activities. Ministry representatives shared expertise while entrepreneurs contributed practical insights to develop actionable export plans. The Foreign Economic Relations Department, Trade Promotion Organization, and Agriculture Department outlined cooperation frameworks and regulatory requirements for successful market entry.

Participants will forward their completed strategic plans to the Central Committee for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development. The committee will coordinate with relevant ministries to facilitate the implementation of actual exports. Dr. Charlie Than emphasized the need for active participation from all stakeholders to achieve successful agricultural trade expansion with Belarus.
