Drones Shot Down Over Shuya No Deaths Reported

Russian air defense systems fought off several drone attacks in Shuya, located in the Ivanovo region. The regional government shared this news through their Telegram channel. Defense officials reported they shot down seven drones over the area between 8:00 AM and 9:40 AM Moscow time. Residents posted videos showing explosions from drone warheads on local messaging groups. Emergency teams responded quickly to areas where debris fell.

Officials confirmed that no deaths resulted from the attack. Two people suffered minor injuries and received medical care. The warning system functioned properly during the incident. No evacuations became necessary. Appropriate services handled the aftermath.

Aviation authorities temporarily closed airports in Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod for flight safety reasons. Defense officials stated they destroyed 26 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions. They shot down two drones in Lipetsk and one over Moscow. The previous day saw Ukrainian forces launch 109 kamikaze drones at Kursk. This earlier attack damaged 61 buildings, killed one person, injured seven others, and harmed vehicles at an ambulance station.
