DUCSU picks 5 senate reps at first exec meeting

Dhaka University Central Students Union convened its inaugural executive council session on Sunday morning. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan led the gathering at his office lounge. The council selected five members for the university senate during this historic meeting.

Senate nominees comprise Vice-President Md Abu Shadik Kayem, General Secretary SM Farhad, Assistant General Secretary Mohiuddin Khan, Member Sabikunnahar Tamanna, and Transport Secretary Asif Abdullah. Leaders discussed enhancing student advocacy and developing comprehensive policy frameworks to support students. The representatives are committed to collaborative governance and transparent monthly action plans.

Kayem emphasized unity among all participants after the session concluded. Farhad announced the nominees would receive official gazette publication shortly. The administration simultaneously condemned misleading media coverage regarding recent election results. Officials clarified that incorrect vote tallies had appeared in published reports about Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall and Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall contests.
