Ebonyi State asked for Civil Defense officers to guard the Chuba Okadigbo airport in Ezza South. Aviation Commissioner Ngozi Obichukwu said they want to team up with the NSCDC against security threats. She visited the state command center on Thursday with airport officials. Her team met with Commandant Francis Chika Nnadi to talk about working together. The visit aimed to build better ties between the aviation ministry and security forces.
Obichukwu requested that NSCDC officers at the airport handle the current safety problems. The NSCDC leader promised to send trained staff to protect the facility. He praised the aviation team for reaching out about cooperation. He said his people would safeguard both lives and buildings around the transport hub. The security force wants to help across all parts of Ebonyi State.
