Elon Musk Floats Idea of New Political Party Amid Feud with Trump

Elon Musk stunned political watchers when he floated the idea of starting his brand new political party. The world's richest man asked his 220 million X followers if America needs a fresh party for the middle ground voters. His online poll showed massive support with 80 percent backing the concept. Musk declared the results were destiny calling him forward. He loves the suggested name America Party for his potential political movement.

Creating any new party faces huge challenges across all 50 states. Ballot access rules make life difficult for startup political groups trying to compete. Money limits also restrict how much Musk can pump into official party coffers compared to his super PAC spending. The tech billionaire might not be completely serious about breaking away from Republicans. He seemed open to working within existing party structures when followers made suggestions.

Musk has been feuding hard with Donald Trump over recent policy disagreements. He trashed the president's massive domestic spending bill and urged Congress to reject it completely. Trump fired back with threats to cut government subsidies for Musk's business empire. The former allies traded public insults after Musk spent $239 million helping Trump win the 2024 election. Musk reminded wavering Republicans that Trump only has three and half years left but Musk plans to stick around for decades.
