Embracer Becomes Fellowship as Coffee Stain Goes Solo

Embracer Group changes its name to Fellowship Entertainment after buying The Lord of the Rings two years ago. The company paid 395 million dollars for the fantasy franchise. Former executive Matthew Karch wanted to make The Lord of the Rings one of gaming's biggest properties. Fellowship Entertainment controls many popular game series like Metro and Tomb Raider. Around 6,000 workers spread across 50 different companies make up the organization.

Coffee Stain Group is splitting away from the main company to become independent. Coffee Stain creates games like Goat Simulator and Satisfactory. Lars Wingefors will keep running the parent company as the main shareholder. Anton Westbergh leads Coffee Stain and is excited about the separation. The move gives Coffee Stain more control over its future plans.

Fellowship Entertainment plans to release ten major games during the next fiscal year. Gothic 1 Remake and Killing Floor 3 appear on the upcoming schedule. Marvel 1943 and several other titles will also launch during this period. One expensive game got delayed from next year to the following year. Company leaders expect this delayed game to sell as well as Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
