Embu Woman Rep clarifies her vehicle, not presidential escort, in accident

Embu Woman Representative Njoki Njeru set the record straight about a deadly car crash. She told everyone that her vehicle caused the accident at Kapigazi. The car also belonged to former deputy governor Kariuki who chairs NSSF. People spread lies about President Ruto's escort team being involved. Njeru wanted to stop the fake stories going around social media.

The lawmaker walked away from the crash without any injuries. She called President William Ruto right after it happened to tell him the truth. Njeru felt sad for the families who lost loved ones during the terrible accident. The crash took place on the busy Embu-Meru Highway near Gakwegori-Kapingazi River. Two people riding a motorcycle got hit before the car rolled down into the water.

President Ruto had come to Embu County for a special church event. He attended the service at Kigari Teachers College that Sunday morning. The religious gathering celebrated the 35th Diocesan Anniversary for local church members. Leaders used the occasion to raise money for important church projects. The president's visit had nothing to do with the deadly highway accident that killed innocent people.
