The Emirates airline has launched a two-day recruitment initiative in Harare to hire Zimbabwean aircraft technicians. According to Omar Bushlaibi, the airline's country manager for Zimbabwe, the event aims to attract both experienced and aspiring engineers to join the company's workforce in Dubai. He explained that the drive is part of a larger global effort to bring in top-tier technical talent.
Successful candidates will be based at the airline's hub in Dubai, working on one of the world's largest aircraft fleets. Bushlaibi added that new hires would have the opportunity to work at a new, state-of-the-art engineering facility at Dubai World Central, a project representing a 950 million dollar investment. This facility is intended to be one of the most advanced in commercial aviation.
The recruitment effort in Zimbabwe supports the Emirates Group's broader goal of hiring over 17,000 professionals for more than 350 roles worldwide. This strategy highlights the airline's focus on expanding its technical operations and enhancing maintenance standards for its international fleet.
