Emon's four wickets demolish Zimbabwe as Bangladesh reach final

Bangladesh Under-19 cricketers demolished Zimbabwe by eight wickets during Friday's tri-nation series match in Harare. The visitors secured their finals berth scheduled for August 10 at the same venue. Their convincing performance elevated them to first place in the tournament standings with six points from four games.

Zimbabwe collapsed to 89 all out within 22.3 overs after the Bangladesh captain won the toss and chose to bowl first. Iqbal Hossain Emon claimed four wickets for 27 runs while Sanjid Mozumder captured two for 26. Leg-spinner Shadhin Islam delivered exceptional figures of two wickets for one run. Nathaniel Hlabangana top-scored with 26 runs, and Brandon Ndiweni contributed 20 for the hosts.

Captain Azizul Hakim Tamim remained unbeaten on 47 runs from 49 balls as Bangladesh reached their target in 15.1 overs. Rizan Hossan finished with 21 not out to complete the chase. The Junior Tigers face South Africa and Zimbabwe on August 6 and 8, respectively.
