Emraan Hashmi drags Shivam to Bangkok for Awarapan 2

Emraan Hashmi began filming Awarapan 2 in Bangkok after a ceremonial event on Monday, Sept. 29. Producer Vishesh Bhat confirmed production started through social media posts. Director Nitin Kakkar leads the project with writer Bilal Siddiqui, and Vishesh Films produces the sequel.

The film continues the story of gangster Shivam from the 2007 original directed by Mohit Suri. Hashmi revealed the sequel on Monday, March 24, during his 46th birthday celebration. Theaters will screen the movie on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Hashmi recently appeared opposite Pawan Kalyan in the Telugu action film They Call Him OG as antagonist Omkar Vardhaman Mirajkar. The actor previously collaborated with Vishesh Films on multiple projects.
