Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah visited Christian Chukwu's family Wednesday evening to offer support after the football legend died. Mbah promised them they weren't alone during this difficult time. He told reporters he plans to honor Chukwu's memory permanently. The governor had been attending a Commonwealth trade meeting in London when Chukwu passed away.

Mbah called the former Nigerian player a true inspiration who gave everything for his country. He said everyone in Enugu State felt deeply saddened by the loss. After signing the condolence book, Mbah stressed that Chukwu's death affected more than just his relatives. The governor mentioned how the man nicknamed "Chairman" became famous worldwide for his sporting achievements.

The state leader promised to stand with the family throughout their grieving period and asked for peace for Chukwu's soul. The House of Assembly Speaker, Uchenna Ugwu, joined Mbah during the visit. Sports Commissioner Lloyd Ekweremadu also came along to pay respects at the football star's home.
