Equity Group Holdings reported third-quarter 2025 profit after tax up 32% to Kshs 54.1 billion from Kshs 40.9 billion, driven by broader revenue, tighter costs, and a rebound in the Kenya business. Return on average equity reached 26.4% and return on average assets 4.1%. Net interest income rose 16% while nonfunded income grew 3%. The cost-to-income ratio improved to 50.6% from 55.1%. Asset quality metrics held with nonperforming loan coverage at 71.4% and cost of risk at 1.9%.
