ESIC launches SPREE scheme to boost registration of employers and employees, deadline set for December 31

The Employees State Insurance Corporation launched the Scheme for Promotion of Registration of Employers and Employees this year. Private companies and factories must complete registration by December 31 under this initiative. Industries employing ten or more workers face mandatory enrollment requirements. The program allows unregistered employers and employees to join without providing historical contributions or records. Regional Director Hemant Kumar Pandey announced the Ministry of Labour and Employment backs this registration drive.

ESIC operates ten new medical colleges across the country with one facility opening in Ahmedabad. Beneficiary employees receive educational opportunities for their children at monthly costs reaching 2,000 rupees. The corporation covers medical expenses for serious illnesses while providing cashless health services. Gujarat maintains eleven hospitals and 103 dispensaries under ESIC management. Private hospital partnerships expand available treatment options when specialized care exceeds current facility capabilities.

Cash benefits support employees during extended illness periods when employers withhold salaries. ESIC provides wage replacement and arranges free medical treatment for affected workers.
