Euphoria preps a final season with a darker time jump

Euphoria is finally returning after a long hiatus. The show's third season will feature a major time jump, moving the characters into adulthood. HBO released a first-look trailer hinting at a darker and more cinematic storyline. The new episodes will explore themes of faith, redemption, and evil among a group of childhood friends.

Sam Levinson created the eight-episode season. The main cast, including Zendaya and Hunter Schafer, is returning. Several surprise guest stars from various industries will also appear. Production wrapped in Los Angeles following a substantial state tax credit. This season is expected to conclude the entire series.

The production used new Kodak film stock, including larger 65mm formats. This technical choice aims to create a more epic visual scale. Actor Colman Domingo previously teased the season as devastatingly gorgeous. He indicated the narrative would delve deeper into his character, Ali's past. The shift promises a significant evolution from the high school setting.
