Eventide dropped new algorithms for their fancy gear. The update adds four fresh granular effects algorithms to the Eventide H90 and H9000 hardware units. Users can now create shimmering ambient textures with Cosmic Web or make rhythmic glitch effects. The Glitch algorithm uses aliasing and pitch jumps for reactive sounds. GrainMod applies evolving modulation to each grain, while Stutter creates tight or scattered burst patterns. These range from blooming reverse delays to skittering, morphing repeats.
These new algorithms are a free download for existing H90 and H9000 owners. For H9000 users, compatibility depends on the DSP version. The H9000 with Gen2 DSP runs all four new effects. The older Gen1 DSP version only supports the Cosmic Web and GrainMod algorithms. The update is available immediately.
