Execs Jump Ship at Rocket Boy Before MindsEye

Two top leaders left Build A Rocket Boy just days before their first game launches. The studio was created by Leslie Benzies who helped make Grand Theft Auto games at Rockstar. Chief financial officer Paul Bland updated his LinkedIn page to show he finished working there during June 2025. Chief legal officer Riley Graebner also announced his departure after three and half years with the company. Both men walked away right before MindsEye releases on June 10.

The game has faced several problems leading up to its launch date. Early reviews from gaming websites were not very positive about the upcoming release. The studio refuses to give advance copies to reviewers which seems strange for most video game companies. Former workers posted negative comments about company management on Glassdoor job websites. One studio leader blamed bad publicity on people who invested money to hurt their reputation.

Players worry about the game after hearing about executive departures. Social media users and Discord server members express concern about what might happen at launch. MindsEye and Everywhere represent very ambitious projects that could succeed or fail completely. The games might turn out amazing despite all the warning signs. Everyone will discover the truth when June 10 arrives and people can actually play MindsEye.
