Expressive E gave Osmose DAW control, free Ctrl-e

Expressive E just gave Osmose a pretty serious workflow upgrade with firmware 2.3. The free release adds deeper DAW control and gives every Osmose user access to Ctrl-e, bringing hardware navigation and a huge sound library into the keyboard setup.

From the Osmose, producers can handle playback, metronome settings, loops, track movement, scenes, clips, mixing, macros, tempo, quantization, undo, and redo. Its Mode button also works as Shift, borrowing control features previously found on the Osmose CE.

Ctrl-e brings more than 900 expressive patches from Expressive E, Kilohearts, Synapse Audio, Dawesome, Applied Acoustic Systems, GForce, and Vital. Selecting a Ctrl-E track puts Osmose into the matching mode for hardware browsing and filtering. Compatible Expressive Suites work there as well, although the free license does not provide full Noisy 2 or third-party instrument licenses.
