Ghana's government dropped a relief package for families after six people died in a stampede at the El-Wak Stadium during an Armed Forces recruitment drive. Each family gets 50,000 cedis for burial costs and another 100,000 cedis on top of that, plus the option to send one qualified relative into military service if they want. Defence Ministry reps announced while checking in on survivors and visiting the bereaved households.
