A young man from Brikama Nyambai, Yankuba Njie, has been charged with threatening to kill his father. The alleged incident occurred at their family home on November 16. Njie appeared in Brikama Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate K.B. Sambou, where he pleaded not guilty to a single count of threatening violence.
Police Prosecutor CPL 6397 A. Bah, representing the Inspector General of Police, requested an adjournment to present witnesses. The court granted this application. Magistrate Sambou ordered that the accused be held in custody, denying bail.
The case will resume on December 24 for the hearing of the first prosecution witness. Njie remains in remand until that date.
